When time is precious and the challenges great, we don’t need another superficial networking or training event. When we come together, our greatest opportunity is to deepen our capacity for transformation, within ourselves and the people and organizations we serve.
Imagine this. An intentional container, rich content, bright minds, open hearts, and five full days to strengthen your leadership, assimilate new learning, and apply it to your own work. For 14 years the ALIA Institute has been attracting change-makers to Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada. For the first time the ALIA Leadership Intensive is coming to the Pacific Northwest, hosted by a team of courageous practitioners of transformational change. We invite you to join us there.
What you will experience
Personal and professional development. Choose two six-hour leadership modules led by master practitioners from learning organizations, Aikido, complexity science, performance arts, learning archetypes, and other disciplines. Browse the module options now: Session 1, Session 2.
Global context. Understand global trends, with insights from Darcy Winslow of the Academy for Systemic Change, Charles Eisenstein sharing Money, Gift & Society in the Age of Transition, and other special guests.
Mindfulness. Begin each day with a mindfulness session led by a senior teacher from the Shambhala tradition. On Monday afternoon, engage with Dr. Dan Siegel of the Mindsight Institute, in an interactive video session on the neuroscience of courage, creativity and resilience. Why mindfulness?
Examples from the field. Spend one afternoon diving into into a Shaping New Systems case study or roundtable conversation at the learning edge of theory and practice in business, healthcare, education, or large-scale multi-stakeholder change, and a second afternoon surfacing themes and trends across these fields.
Creative process and community. Co-create a vibrant learning community with 200+ innovators, module leaders, artists, meditation teachers, case study presenters, and fellow travellers.
