Fees

Leadership Intensive (June 18-23): $2500. The program fee includes all meals, starting with dinner on the 18th and ending with breakfast on the 23rd, which is a departure day. Accommodations are not included in the program fee. Register

Leadership Starts Here(June 18, 9:00 am-4:00 pm): $195, includes lunch.

All fees are in Canadian dollars.

Location

All events will take place at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Halifax International Airport has direct flights from most major east coast population centres. The university is a 20-minute cab ride from the airport.

Accommodations

On-site accommodations will be available in the apartment-style Westwood Residence at approximately $40 per night. Book your room directly through the university, indicating ALIA under “conference name.”

Scholarships

A limited number of partial scholarships are available, including 20 scholarship seats reserved for Nova Scotian nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs. To apply, please send us an email with your responses to the following questions.

• Why are you interested in attending the Summer Institute?
• What unique perspectives or contributions would you bring to the learning community?
• How would you apply the learning “back home” in your work or community?
• What contribution could you make towards the program fee?

Please note that no full scholarships will be awarded, nor is ALIA able to subsidize travel or accommodations costs.

Cancellation Policy

Leadership Intensive refunds before April 2 will be subject to a $150 administrative fee. Cancellations between April 2 and May 11 are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations after May 11 are not eligible for a refund; however, a substitute may be sent.

Leadership Starts Here refunds before June 1 will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee (the fee will be waived if you are also registered for the Leadership Intensive). Cancellations after June 1 are not eligible for a refund; however, a substitute may be sent.
