United States Interagency Council on Homelessness

United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) Executive Director Barbara Poppe will share the story of the development of Opening Doors: Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness on June 24 at ALIA in a Day.

When Barbara arrived in Washington DC, she brought with her experiences from Columbus, Ohio on new methods and tools to engage people in very participatory ways around community challenges like health and homelessness. These Art of Hosting methods are also integral to the ALIA approach, and will be taught and practiced during the 2011 Summer Institute.

Barbara will share the story of how Opening Doors was developed, with a focus on how you can engage many partners to build a comprehensive and actionable plan. At ALIA in a Day she will be joining a group of thought leaders from around the world that will be exploring how you can engage others in achieving your team’s goals.
